Margaret Hatanaka

Margaret Hatanaka received her Master's degree in Library Science from San Jose State University and has over 30 years of public library experience. She has a wide range of experience from working as an adult librarian, children's librarian and supervising librarian for public libraries around southern California including Monterey Park, Monrovia, Glendora, Altadena and Rancho Cucamonga. During her career, she collaborated on unique library programs across the state, presented programs at state and national library conferences, and served as a California Library Association Board Member.  Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak remains one of her favorite books because of the impact it had on her childhood and her love for libraries.
