The Hangar Makerspace

Take chances, make mistakes, and get messy in our Hangar Makerspace. Enjoy a variety of themed holiday crafts, open-ended/general crafting time, sensory play, and more! Each week features something new for all ages. Materials will be provided for themed crafts, and general crafting times will have a select number of materials available for patrons to use. 

Specialized items and tools are available for use in-house upon request, under adult supervision (e.g. hot glue gun, sewing needles, heat gun, utility blades, etc.). Please see list of items available for more information. For questions, please email hangar@placentialibrary.org

Pokémon Day Celebration

All week long, stop by the library and strike your best Trainer pose at our Pokémon photo op! Snap a pic with your favorite characters, show off your Poké-spirit, and share the fun with friends and family. Whether you're a seasoned Trainer or just starting your journey, this is the perfect chance to capture a legendary moment!

Sewing 101

Get started with this hands-on overview of the sewing machine, including winding a bobbin, sewing a straight line, and other stitches. Materials will be provided for a starter project. Entry tickets will be issued starting at 12:30 p.m. the day of the program. Open to teens and adults. 

Get Hooked! Crochet and Knitting Circle

Do you love fiber arts? Do you have a tough pattern you can’t crack? Or do you just want to spend time with people who love what you love? Bring your current projects and relax at the library’s crochet and knitting circle. 

Supplies, projects, and formal instruction are not provided by the library, so please bring your own crochet hooks, knitting needles, and yarn.

Adult Craft Night

Creating with Cricut

Unlock your creative potential with our Creating with Cricut program! Perfect for beginners who want to learn how to use a Cricut machine and Design Space, but don’t know where to start. Each class will feature a new project as we work with different materials to get you started on your Cricut journey. All materials will be provided. Space is limited. Entry tickets will be issued starting at 1:30 p.m. the day of the program. Open to Teens and Adults.

Wire & Wonders: Jewelry Creations

Join us for a fun and creative jewelry-making program! From earrings to bracelets and more, each month features a new and exciting project for you to work on. Materials will be provided. Cross Stitch Creating

Learn basic cross-stitching techniques and let your creativity flow! Join us as we complete a beginning  project. Supplies will be provided. Open to Teens and Adults. Seating is limited, first come, first served.
